AGM

Because of the pandemic, we held this year's AGM by Zoom. Please press the buttons below to read the Chairman's and Treasurer's reports. It was agreed that Sam Younan (Chairman). David Tomlinson (treasurer), Martin Bell, Christiana Lewis and David Buckley would continue as committee members for the coming year. It was also agreed that we should continue to seek extra membership for the committee, and especially to recruit a Secretary, that position now being vacant again. The Chairman thanked Mo Bell for her acting as secretary over the current year.
Sally Burnie, Head of Cancer Services and Lead Cancer Nurse at MKUH

Sally gave us an update on the new Cancer Centre at MKUH. She was accompanied by
Angela Sheldrick who led a discussion on how patients receive results of tests and procedures.
This was a particularly well-attended meeting and Sally offered to talk to us again later in the year to tell about early experiences in the opertion of the Cancer Centre.
Meet and Chat Event

Owing to the non-attendance of the advertised speaker, this well-attended event was converted to a general meeting to exchange experiences and views and advise one another in the light of our experiences. We also included discussion on the new Cancer Centre at MKUH.
Awareness presentation at Lovat Fields Retirement Village
Tuesday 10th March, 2.00 pm.
Martin Bell, David Tomlinson and David Buckley gave an awareness talk to some twenty residents of the village. This was well received and led to a very worthwhile discussion and Q & A session.
